Privacy Policy
English
IELTS Writing Practice replaces your new tab page with short IELTS Writing exercises. It has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking.
Data stored on your device
- Your practice cards, review schedule, your last answer and feedback for each card, daily practice counts, streak, and settings (theme, focus mode).
- This data is kept only in your browser's extension storage (
chrome.storage.local). It is never uploaded or synced, and it is deleted when you remove the extension.
Data sent for AI grading
When you submit a written answer (Vocab, Paraphrase, Sentence Flexibility), the extension sends only the exercise text and the sentence you wrote to be graded:
- Your sentence goes to our proxy server (a Cloudflare Worker), which forwards it to an AI gateway (llm.wokushop.com) that runs the AI model (Anthropic Claude).
- No name, email, account, or other identifier is sent. Coherence exercises are graded on your device and send nothing.
- Our proxy does not store your sentences. The infrastructure providers (Cloudflare, the AI gateway, and the model provider) process requests under their own privacy policies and may keep standard technical logs such as IP addresses.
- Please don't type personal or sensitive information into answers.
Other network requests
- The new tab page loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address as part of a normal web request.
Permissions
storage: to save your progress on your device.- Access to the proxy server address: to send answers for grading.
We do not
- Sell or share your data, use it for advertising, or read your browsing activity.
